Zakariya Olanrewaju Anofi is a highly accomplished finance professional with over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, consulting, process review, revenue generation, leadership, and governance. He has a proven track record in driving financial growth, improving operational efficiency, and leading cross-functional teams. Mr. Anofi is well-versed in international financial reporting standards (IFRS), corporate reporting, internal auditing, business process review, and tax management.

Mr. Anofi holds a B.Sc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University and an M.Sc in Financial Management from Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University). He is a fellow member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), having qualified as a professional accountant about twenty years ago. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate degree at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, further demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence and leadership development.

Mr. Anofi began his career as an accountant with International Printing Press and later joined Access Bank Plc, working with the financial institution group. He subsequently held positions as Financial Accountant at Unitrust Insurance Company and served as Manager Treasury, Chief Internal Auditor, and Manager and Head of Finance at Toptech Engineering Limited. At Sirius Associates, a consultancy firm specializing in assurance and attestation services, IFRS implementation, strategic and business process review, due diligence, and business valuation, he gained practical knowledge in the application of IFRS. He led several IFRS implementation projects, including for companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Mr. Anofi then joined TAC Professional Services as a senior consultant specializing in business review, internal auditing, and IFRS. He later moved to Makon Engineering and Technical Services Limited as Assistant General Manager Finance, eventually rising to the position of CFO/Executive Director of Finance and Administration. In this role, he oversaw the Finance, Human Resources, and Administration teams.

Throughout his career, Mr. Anofi has successfully implemented IFRS in multiple organizations, ensuring compliance and improving financial reporting. He has developed and executed strategic plans that resulted in significant revenue growth and enhanced operational efficiency. He has also led cross-functional teams to achieve outstanding results and conducted comprehensive business process reviews to identify and implement effective improvements. His leadership of finance teams has been instrumental in successfully defending several audits by the Federal Inland Revenue Service and various states Inland Revenue services in Nigeria.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Anofi provides support to a few financial servicing and revenue advisory firms. He dedicates his leisure time to providing business and financial advisory services to micro and small enterprises. He is passionate about education and enjoys creating value and contributing to human mental and economic development.
